Support crews

Bivouac to bivouac: everything you need to know to enter a support vehicle alongside your race crew.

Entry conditions

  • All bivouacs are accessible in 2-wheel drive.
  • No licence is required for support crews.
  • Each support vehicle has at least 2 people holding a driving licence.
  • Every support entry must be linked to a race competitor.

Fees and file

The ferry crossing for the vehicle and for each participant (2 nights) and customs formalities are included. The fee follows that of the race vehicle the support crew is linked to, and the support entry must be in the same file.

All vehicles are measured at scrutineering: any difference with the declared dimensions leads to an extra charge.

Mandatory safety equipment

UNIK4 GPS (ERTF): speed control and support-route road-book, rented from the organisers’ provider.

SmallTrack (Marlink): positions sent to Race HQ.

Mounting kits are the competitors’ responsibility and must be fitted and wired before scrutineering.

On-board equipment

  • Seat belts or 4-point harnesses for the whole crew
  • 1 approved 2 kg extinguisher, 2 mirrors, laminated windscreen
  • 2 spare wheels, towing eyes, 10 m tow rope
  • Horn, high-visibility vest and survival blanket per person
  • First-aid kit and accessible belt cutter

Fuel

Range: 600 km (a 10% margin is recommended). Refuelling is done at the stations shown in the road-book; where there is none nearby, the organisers deliver fuel in drums to the bivouac.

Register in 2 steps

Create your account on the entry website, then your vehicle, team and crew: you lock in the best fee. Then complete the file at your own pace (passports valid 6 months after the rally, licences, registration documents) before entries close.

Ready to enter your support crew?

Registration is online, in the same file as your race vehicle.
